If you’ve been reading here for a while you know, with three boys in the house, a lot of my sewing tends to revolve around the characters they love and the games they like to play. Whether it’s pirates, dinosaurs, or superheroes, there’s always some type of dress up piece being requested. Hat’s are the easiest costume piece to make and tend to get the most use because they’re easy-on, easy-off. I also nice when dress-up items can pull double duty and be used in the kids day-to-day lives. Fleece, character themed hats can be used for dress-up AND their daily winter hat. My boys have been begging for a fleece samurai hat to add to their collection of warrior hats.
I’m over at Fleece Fun sharing a free pattern and tutorial for one of the boy’s most beloved warriors- the Samurai. The pattern is being offered in two child sizes; small and large.
What kid doesn’t want to dress as they’re favorite characters? Sew one with this free pattern!
