I’ve been working hard over the last year to continually improve the photography on this blog. I’m still far from perfect but I’ve found some great tools over the last 6 months to help my photography improve. If this is something you’re interested in, you’ll want to keep reading. Today I’m reviewing Alida of Alida new ebook called Style That Kid.
After reading Alida’s book, I challenged myself to take what I’ve learned and apply it by re shooting a previous set of photos for the blog. One of the photo shoots I’ve been less than satisfied with the last few moths was the photos for the Kudzu Coverall pattern that I reviewed here. As you can see from the before and after photo from the beginning of the post, there is a huge difference between the first photo shoot and the one taken after reading Style That .
Besides the many great tips on how to improve the photographic set up of a photo shoot, Alida discusses the composition and texture of photos. I love how just adding a textured back drop has added a dramatic background to these photos. She shows many examples for how her tips have worked to improve her own blog photos and those are the most valuable examples since you can see her improvements first hand.
And who doesn’t love a boy in a hat? I’m so glad that Alida asked me to review her ebook because I can see already the effect that the book has had on my photography skills. I can tell already that her suggestions will be helping me to improve what ya’ll will be seeing here in the future and I’m so grateful she gave me the opportunity to learn from her.
Alida is also giving away FIVE copies of the book in celebration of it’s publication. Enter on the Rafflecopter below for your chance to win this amazing book! Good luck!
