It’s hard to believe that it’s November already. Which means it’s time to take down the Halloween decorations and get ready for my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. I’ve put together a quick and easy tablescape using items from Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts, an easy DIY no-sew table cloth, and past Thanksgiving crafts to spruce up my Thanksgiving Table.
Creating the gold, leaf table cloth you’ll need:
Step 1: Peel off the paper on one side and place 1 Permanent Fabric Adhesive sheet on the back side of your pleather fabric.
Step 2: Trace and cut around your leaf shape.
Step 3: Peel off the paper backing on the other side
place on the corner of your table cloth and press the leaf smoothing it out on the edges.
Repeat for each corner of the cloth. The pack comes with 5 sheets so I placed one in the center as well. Add more leaves or even acorn shapes along the sides for a more decorative cloth.
Once you’ve finished your table cloth you can start building the tablescape. The gif below shows how I built upon each level.
The table runner and turkey button art are past projects. All of the items needed for those crafts, as well as the owl, wreath, metal can, and flower bunch can all be found at your local Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts store.
I like mixing textures when I’m creating a decorative space like this. The rustic look of this can, paired with the contrasting textures of the metal and branches makes me happy.
And I know it is the completely wrong bird for this holiday, but the owl might just be my favorite part of the entire table. How cute is he?
