We’re officially back in the good old US of A and though we’re currently homeless (teeny-tiny townhouse is under contract and we’ve yet to find a new home) and
living with visiting with the grandparents, I wanted to pop in and show you a great new pattern.
A few months ago, I was given the chance to test the W Pants/shorts (affiliate link) for Pattern Anthology’s Fall Line, The Alphabet collection. The not being able to share has been killing me ever since I tested this pattern because I knew you’d just love it.
Each unisex item in the collection is a letter of the alphabet and I think the W designation fits perfectly with this color blocked pattern. The pant/Capri/short pattern has an inverted yoke which allows for a fun color blocked look, opportunity to play with piping or other embellishments, or just use the seam line as the contrast between.
There are several pocket options including back zippered welt pockets. It was so fun to use contrasting zippers for one more pop of color on this pair.
As with most of Melissa’s Blank Slate Patterns, the pants/capri/shorts pattern comes with instructions for an elastic or fully functioning fly, as well as belt loops.
S wasn’t giving in to anything but the Batman t-shirt today so we’re less than coordinated but these W Pants (affiliate link) are fabulous with a striped t-shirt or pocket embellished t-shirt. The pattern is available through Pattern Anthology until the 12th of August but then after that it will be up on the Blank Slate Patterns site where you can buy it separately. Honestly though, the $19.95 price for all four patterns is a great deal. I snapped it up myself and can’t wait to get my sewing machine in my hands. For now, I’m taking things one thing at a time. Don’t think I’m not thinking about possible fabric choices though. How about you? Do you chose your fabrics all willy-nilly or wait to buy something after seeing a pattern?
