I fooled around with those fabric scraps I showed you yesterday and finally got my Christmas Mug Rugs out to my lovely swap partner.
There’s nothing like a deadline for a crafty friend to get your “fix the sewing machine” motivation flowing.
The backing is made of 2 by 2 inch squares of Christmas fabrics, most from Michael Miller’s Funky Christmas.
Since my original plan flopped, I used leftover scraps to make two Christmas ball ornaments and added a funky “hanger” in metallic silver thread.
Now that I have the machine all figured out and back in good working order, it’s time to get to work on the Christmas Tree skirt that was supposed to be sewn last year. Ha, look at me, procrastination works because I’ve already gotten a head start on the project!
